Kostas led a session at the Oregon State University Migrant Engineering Summer Camp. We talked about dyes and pigments and how paints are produced. We also made some Egyptian Blue!
Our paper on the fundamental relations that determine C-O bond activation over oxides was just published in Nature Catalysis! This is the successful conclusion of 3 years of hard work by a great group of people. We couldn't have done it without our theorist collaborators, Glen Jenness, now at ERDC and, especially, Alexander Mironenko, now at UChicago, and soon to be assistant professor at UIUC!
I am very excited to announce that I will be starting my independent career in the school of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering at Oregon State University on 9/15/2018! I am looking forward to becoming part of a great team, in a department that leads in both education and research!
